In an era where our elderly deserves the utmost care and comfort, a visionary project is set to unfold a new, purpose – built sanctuary designed to provide an enriching home for 150 elderly parents who were abandoned by their own family.
We are Snehakoodu Charitable Trust (SCT), a compassionate foundation committed to supporting elderly parents who have been left alone in their twilight years. For the past eight years, we have been a beacon of hope, providing a loving home and care for those who have endured various hardships in life. Snehakoodu Charitable Trust, was founded by Nisha Mol K S in 2015, and later in 2017 an orphanage named Snehakoodu Abhayamandiram got established.
Currently, Snehakoodu Abhayamandiram, operates in two rented houses, accommodating 86 elderly parents. However, the organization faces significant challenges, with one of the most pressing concerns being the rental accommodation limiting our capacity to serve more beneficiaries. To overcome this challenge and expand our services, we aim to take our compassion a step further by constructing a 6000 sq. ft building that can house up to 150 individuals. Our dream is taking shape as we have successfully purchased 15 cents of land at Kollad, Kottayam, Kerala. The project commenced on 24th May 2023 and is expected to be completed within a year from the starting date.
We are seeking financial assistance of ₹1,00,00,000 (One crore rupees) for the continuation of the project. The project proposal seeks the collaboration and financial support of esteemed partners, including CSR funds, to make our vision a reality.
